Marsala
Rob Marsala is a Perth-born Los Angeles based
manager and producer with over a decade of experience
working in Hollywood. He is currently with 1 Management
and represents actors and writers. Their company
clients include Frances O'Connor; Nick Stahl;
Maggie Grace; Emilie DeRavin; Billy Campbell;
Shannon Lucio; Beau Garrett; new Prison Break
star Chris Vance, Matthew Settle; Kylie Minogue
and Magda Szubanski.
Prior to joining 1 Management, he had his own
management company, Marsala Management. He was
also a manager at the Bauer Co.; worked at United
Talent Agency in LA and the not-for-profit Independent
Feature Project in New York. As a producer, he
produced the acclaimed Australian feature 48 Shades
based on the award winning novel 48 Shades of
Brown by Nick Earls. Client Daniel Lapaine wrote
and directed and it stars client Richard Wilson;
Emma Lung and Robin McLeavy. It was released in
Australia and New Zealand by Buena Vista International
in 2006. It was their first Australian pickup
in 3 years. Features currently in development
as producer include the Australian features The
Division directed by Daniel Lapaine and Regret,
written by Ian Kennedy Williams based on his novel
of the same name.
He has an MBA majoring in Media Management &
Communications at Fordham University in New York
and an LLB and BJuris from the Law School at the
University of Western Australia. In Australia
he has been featured on 60 Minutes and Sunrise.
