Paizes
Lawyer, Paula Paizes is Australians in Film longest
sitting Board member, having co-founded the original
organization known as LAAFTA, in May 2001. She
is Vice President of Australians in Film and serves
as Chairman of the Governance Committee.
Paula has a long career in the entertainment and
media industries having practiced in Australia
for 8 years as a successful entertainment lawyer
with Blake Dawson Waldron, representing many producers,
actors, agents, studios and government and private
financing entities. In 1996, after two years as
in house counsel to Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s
Co,The Really Useful Co, she settled in Los Angeles,
working as a business affairs advisor to many
film and media companies and has enjoyed a steady
career working in finance, production and distribution
of film, TV and other media products. In recent
years, Paula has also produced film and TV, and
served a two year producing deal for Stratus Films,
owned by Mark Gordon and Bob Yari.
