Andrew Warne

Andrew Warne is Showtime Australia’s LA-based entertainment reporter. Andrew has worked exclusively for Showtime since 1995 producing, researching, writing and presenting SHOWTIME MOVIE NEWS, a half hour show featuring interviews with the stars, coverage of movie premieres and location reports from movie sets.

Andrew Warne also covers the major international film festivals for Showtime including Cannes, Venice and Sundance that are screened as specials on Showtime.

In 2002, Andrew was honoured with the International Media Award by the Publicists Guild of America. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding journalists who cover the entertainment industry, and is voted on by the Publicist’s Guild entire membership.

Prior to joining Showtime, Andrew produced and presented his own weekly entertainment segment for TEN News and Good Morning Australia. Andrew worked as a U.S news correspondent for Network TEN for six years covering major stories from North America. Some of the news stories that he covered live include: the Northridge Earthquake, Altadena-Malibu bush fires, L.A. riots, Rodney King/LAPD trials, Waco siege, 1992 Presidential elections, Landers earthquake, Annual Academy, Emmy & Grammy Awards and the America’s Cup.

In between Australian outlets, Andrew worked for more than two years as a local news reporter for KTTV Channel 11, the Fox News affiliate station in Los Angeles. Other networks that Andrew has worked for in and outside the US include the Seven Network, Sky Television UK and TV3 New Zealand.

No stranger to the movies himself, Andrew has enjoyed cameo appearances in Independence Day, and Warren Beatty’s film Bulworth – portraying strangely enough, an Australian reporter. Andrew earned a B.A. in International Relations from UCLA. He is an Australian citizen who resides in the USA, and is married with three children.
