Toni Collette has joined the cast of Fred Schepisi's romantic thriller Andorra.
She joins an all-star cast that includes Gillian Anderson, Joanna Lumley and Clive Owen.
According to Deadline, who broke the news, production will begin in Italy in April.
Based on Peter Cameron's 1997 novel of the same, the story follows Alexander Fox (Owen) a book seller who leaves the US to start a new life in the tiny nation of Andorra. Quickly drawn to a tall Australian blonde (Collette) and the heartbroken daughter (Anderson) of the town matriarch (Lumley), he finds himself the prime suspect in a murder investigation.
The producers are Jamie Bialkower for Jump Street Films, Lizzette Atkins for Unicorn Films (both Melbourne-based) and Melbourne-born Schepisi.
Schepisi is helming from a script adapted by Cameron and Bialkower, and the project marks the second time the director will have worked with Owen since Words and Pictures in 2013.
Congrats Toni and Fred!
