AiF member Luke O'Sullivan joins cast of Netflix series Dear White People

Monday, September 05, 2016 6:55 AM | Anonymous

AiF member Luke O'Sullivan has begun filming a recurring role on Netflix's straight-to-series comedy Dear White People.

Written by Justin Simien, the series is adapted from Simien's feature film of the same name, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014 and won the Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent.

The series follows a diverse group of students as they navigate college life at a predominantly white Ivy League college. O'Sullivan is cast to play Connor, a theater major who becomes friends with one of the lead characters.

"I'm so excited to be part of such a well-written show dealing with these important issues in a funny, clever and meaningful way. This is the sort of job I've daydreamed about, so to be doing it for real is incredible. I'm having the time of my life on set, and I can't wait to come back for more."

O'Sullivan joins a previously announced cast that includes Brandon P. Bell (who is reprising his role from the original film), Logan Browning, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori, Ashley Blaine Featherson and Marque Richardson.

Congrats, Luke!
