Australians in Film has announced a new addition to the 2015 Heath Ledger Scholarship prize

Along with return flights to Los Angeles, thanks to Virgin Australia, our two Heath Ledger Scholarship runners up also will receive scholarships to attend Screenwise Master Intensives in Sydney, thanks to Screenwise - Australia's Leading Film & TV School for Actors.

These intensives are designed to provide the professional actor with the opportunity to work intimately with Australian and international heavyweight film and television professionals.

Previous Master Intensives have included Australian directors Peter Andrikidis, David Caesar, Tony Tilse, Kate Woods, Di Drew; Hollywood Coach to the Stars, Michelle Danner; Australian Actor Colin Friels and LA Casting Directors, Lyndsey Baldasare and Tamara Hunter.

Australians in Film President, Simonne Overend, said, “The scholarship is made possible thanks to the continued support and commitment from the Ledger family and repeat sponsors, especially Virgin Australia, Visit California, Screenwise, Ausfilm and Stella Adler Acting Academy. Any emerging Aussie actor may apply and we look forward to helping the winner and runners up realise their dreams by equipping them with tools to try and break a notoriously competitive international market.”
