Australian model-turned actress Abbey Lee
is in talks to star opposite Elle Fanning in Nicolas Winding Regn's Neon Demon
Described as a female-driven horror, the film follows the story of an aspiring model (Fanning) who finds herself in a terrifying quest for survival.
Filming is expected to begin in early 2015 in Los Angeles.
Best known for directing Ryan Gosling in 2011 crime drama Drive, the Danish director said in an official statement:
"One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women. Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty. After making Drive and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of The Neon Demon."
Abbey Lee can next be seen in George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road opposite Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult, which is set for release on 15 May 2015.
Congrats, Abbey Lee!
