Voltage Pictures has selected Australians in Film member Stuart Beattie to pen the script for their untitled project based on the true story of private military company Blackwater Worldwide, founded by former US Navy SEAL, Erik Prince, and its controversial involvement in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Voltage aquired the rights to Prince's 2013 book 'Civilian Warriors', which provided the inside story on Blackwater, as well as a Vanity Fair article written by Adam Ciralsky titled "Tycoon, Contractor, Soldier, Spy".

Fellow AiF member Kieran Darcey-Smith signed on to direct the project in June 2014.

Nicholas Chartier (The Hurt Locker) and Craig Flores (300: Rise of an Empire) will produce for Voltage, which is also financing along with Ciralsky.

Congrats Kieran and Stuart!
