Australian David Hoflin has joined the cast of ABC drama American Crime.

The Crossbones star is cast to play Mark Skokie, a man who returns to his hometown of Modesto, California, to support his divorced parents, after his brother is killed in a home invasion.

Hoflin joins Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton, who play his parents, on the cast.

Created by John Ridley, who penned the Oscar-winning screenplay for 12 Years a Slave, American Crime is bound for ABC midseason.

ABC greenlighted the pilot in January 2014, and picked up the gritty drama for series last May.

Congrats, David!
