Naomi Watts is in negotiations to star opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Jean-Marc Vallée's drama, Demolition.
The film is based on the 2007 Black List script by Bryan Snipe about an investment banker (Gyllenhaal) whose life falls apart after his wife dies tragically in a car accident. He forms a relationship with a pot-smoking single mother who works as a customer service agent at a vending machine company, after the two meet under bizarre circumstances.
Demolition will be Vallée's follow up to Dallas Buyers Club, which took home three Oscars, one each for its stars, Matthew McConaughey (lead) and Jared Leto (supporting) and one for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling.
