Filming has begun in London on Joe Wright's Pan, starring OscarĀ®nominee Hugh Jackman.

The Warner Bros.' reimagining is a new take on the classic story of Peter Pan, which sees a transformed Jackman playing the villainous pirate Blackbeard.

Inside Llewn Davis' Garrett Hedlund stars as Captain hook and young newcomer Levi Miller is cast in the title role.

The film, slated for release on July 17, 2015, is set during WWII and follows the story of Peter, an orphan who is kidnapped by pirates and taken to the magical Neverland, where he must face-off with Blackbeard.

Jackman recently wrapped shooting Neill Blomkamp's action thriller Chappie with co-stars Sigourney Weaver and Sharlto Copley.

Sony Pictures has scheduled Chappie for release on March 27, 2015.
