Claire van der Boom

Claire van der Boom has landed a supporting role in Michel Franco's english language debut, Chronic - a film that follows the story of a nurse who works with terminally ill patients, and his attempt to reconnect with his estranged family.

She joins a cast that includes Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction) Bitsie Tulloch (Grimm) and Tony and Pulitzer prize winning playwright, actor and filmmaker Michael Cristofer.

Van der Boom, who plays a character named Alice, flew to Los Angeles in July to film her role.

It has been a busy year for the Silver Logie-winning actress, who also completed filming on three other U.S. films this year, including Kevin Connolly's drama, Dear Eleanor, with Jessica Alba and Isabella Fuhrman, comedy A Year and Change, and drama Life Itself, with Morgan Freeman, Diane Keaton and Cynthia Nixon.

Congrats, Claire!
