It's official, Netflix is headed to Australia. According to Village Roadshow, Australians will soon be enjoying the streaming VOD service that Americans have loved for years.
Graham Burke, the joint CEO of Village Roadshow, confirmed Netflix is gearing up to beam into Aussie homes in 2015.
In an interview with ZDNet, Burke said Netflix is, "talking to our people about supply of products, so they are opening and coming to Australia".
This news should please most Australians who are already using the site by circumventing Netflix's geo-blocks through VPNs, though, according to CNET, Australians shouldn't get their hopes up too high - it is still unclear whether Australians will have access to the same content as in America, nor the same low price.
