Teresa Palmer in talks to join Luke Bracey on Point Break remake

Teresa Palmer is in talks to star in Alcon Entertainment's Point Break remake. 

The AiF 2011 Breakthrough Honoree will star alongside fellow Australian Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez. 

Palmer is tapped for to play Bracey's love interest, Tyler, in the reboot. 

Bracey is cast to play FBI Agent Johnny Utah, the role originally played by Keanu Reeves in Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 film. 

Ramirez set to play Bodhi (originally played by Patrick Swayze), and director Ericson Core is on board to helm. 

The rising star, who recently wrapped filming on Kriv Stenders' Kill Me Three Times in WA, is currently shooting Triple Nine with QLD-born director John Hillcoat. 

Palmer is also set for Terrence Malick's romantic drama Knight of Cups with Natalie Portman, Imogen Poots, Christian Bale, and fellow Aussie Cate Blanchett, Isabel Lucas, Jason Clarke and Nicky Whelan. 

Filming on Point Break is scheduled to begin on June 26th and will take place in Germany, Australia, Italy, Mexico, French Polynesia and India.
