The nominees for the 2014 TV WEEK Logie Awards have been revealed at an event hosted by TV WEEK editor Emma Nolan and emcees Julia Morris and Doctor Chris Brown at Club 23, Crown Towers, Melbourne.

For the first time, TV WEEK is proud to announce a prize for the Graham Kennedy Award For Most Outstanding Newcomer recipient, with thanks to our sponsor, Priceline Pharmacy. In addition to a coveted TV WEEK Logie Award, the recipient will win a trip to Hollywood through Australians in Film, the LA-based industry organization, including a round-trip ticket to Los Angeles flying Virgin Australia, a one-year scholarship at Stella Adler Acting School in LA, and mentoring with prominent industry contacts.

The nominees for the TV WEEK Logie award are: Anna Bamford (Wonderland), Caren Pistorius (Paper Giants: Magazine Wars), Meyne Wyatt (Redfern Now), Remy Hii (Better Man) and Shareena Clanton (Wentworth).

"It's very exciting and overwhelming," Anna, 23, told TV WEEK when she heard about the nomination.

"I'm friends with [fellow nominee] Shareena [Clanton] and we phoned each other straight away.

"It's a beautiful surprise for me. I never would've expected it."

2013 Gold Logie winner ASHER KEDDIE is again a nominee in the category for the TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for the Most Popular Personality on TV. Also vying for television’s most prestigious award are ESSIE DAVIS, SCOTT CAM, STEVE PEACOCKE, CARRIE BICKMORE and ANDY LEE. The latter three were also nominated for the Gold Logie in 2013.

It is shaping up to be a battle of epic proportions between Channel Seven and the Nine Network. Both networks have nominees in several of the Most Popular categories, including DAN EWING, HUGH SHERIDAN, STEVE PEACOCKE, MARTA DUSSELDORP and REBECCA GIBNEY from Seven, and JULIA MORRIS, ANDY LEE, HAMISH BLAKE, SCOTT CAM and TIMOMATIC from Nine.

In the Most Outstanding award categories, ABC has been nominated for an impressive number of gongs, including Most Outstanding Drama Series (for ABC1’s REDFERN NOW and THE TIME OF OUR LIVES) and Most Outstanding Light Entertainment Program (for ABC1’s IT’S A DATE and UPPER MIDDLE BOGAN, as well as PLEASE LIKE ME on ABC2).

A full list of all nominees can be found at

The star-studded TV WEEK Logie Awards will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Crown Entertainment Complex’s Palladium Room in Melbourne.
