Australian actress Emily Browning is set to star opposite American Luke Grimes in Eddie O'Keefe's The Shangri-La Suit
Co-written by O'Keefe and Chris Hutton, the indie project will be O'Keefe's directorial debut.
Set in 1974, The Shangri-La Suit tells the story of two young lovers, Karen and Jack, who meet in a mental hospital, fall in love, and set out together to help Jack fulfill his destiny: killing Elvis Presley.
The project is produced by the team behind Little Miss Sunshine - Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa of Bona Fide Productions.
The Melbourne-born actress, who got her break on Australian TV shows Thunderstone and Blue Heelers in 2000.
Browning is best known internationally for playing Babydoll in Zack Snyder's 2011 fantasy flick Sucker Punch, which also starred Vanessa Hudgens and fellow Aussie Abbie Cornish and Violet in Paramount's Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events with Jim Carey, Jude Law and Meryl Streep.
