Australian actress Indiana Evans has joined the cast of American network ABC's drama pilot Secrets & Lies
Secrets & Lies is a remake of Network Ten's upcoming drama of the same name, a show that has been sold to the UK, Norway and USA, before it even aired in Australia.
Described as a nerve racking plunge behind the curtains of suburbia, Secrets and Lies follows the story of Ben, an everyday family man who finds the body of a four-year-old boy and quickly becomes the prime murder suspect.
Ryan Phillippe is cast to play Ben Gundelach, the character played by Martin Henderson in the Aussie version. Juliette Lewis (August: Osage County) stars as the lead investigator Andrea Cornell, and Evans is cast to plan Ben's daughter, Natalie.
Produced by Hoodlum for Network Ten, the Australian version consists of six hour-long episodes, and stars Diana Glenn (The Slap) Martin Henderson (Off the Map), Ben Lawson (Neighbours), and Adrienne Pickerine (Rake).
The American version will air on ABC over 10 episodes.
Hoodlem's Tracey Robertson says:
