Rachel Griffiths and Lincoln Lewis have joined the cast of Nine Network's drama House Husbands
. They join Gary Sweet, Julia Morris, 2012 Heath Ledger Scholarship winner Anna McGahan and 2013 Scholarship runner up George Flood on the cast.
Griffiths, a Golden Globe winner and two-time Emmy nominated actress said of her role, “I am really excited. It is a bunch of old friends, so I think we will have a little bit of fun in the playground. I think I did my first professional job with Gary Sweet, an episode of Police Rescue in the early 1990s."
The networks Heads of Drama, Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, added, “Rachel Griffiths brings Hollywood star power to the already impressive House Husbands lineup. We feel very privileged to be working with such a talented cast.”
The series' executive producers David Maher and David Taylor agreed: “Rachel will certainly add a sparkling dimension to what is shaping up to be our most outstanding series of House Husbands. We are delighted to welcome her to our family.”
Griffiths is cast as Belle, a troublemaker who will ruffle some feathers and heighten the drama. Former Home and Away alumni Lincoln Lewis will play a mysterious character that ignites tension amongst the close-knit families.
Production on the third season of House Husbands is currently underway. The show will return to Nine later in the year.
Congrats, Rachel and Lincoln.
