Warner Bros. has revealed that a sequel to The Lego Movie is in the works.

Though the first film is yet to hit theatres, early reviews have been stellar, so it's not unusual that the studio has already gone to work on a followup.

The Wrap is reporting that Jared Stern (The Internship/ Mr. Popper's Penguins) is on board to pen the script.

The brilliant Aussie animation house Animal Logic provided the animation for the first film.

In a review, The Hollywood Reporter singled out the Aussie team for their impeccable work:
"It’s also vibrantly captured by those millions of LEGO pieces rendered, brick-by-brick, by Australia’s Animal Logic, whether taking the inherently three-dimensional form of a fiery explosion or, most vividly, a stormy, undulating LEGO sea."
Catch The Lego Movie in theatres from this Friday, February 7.
Congrats, Animal Logic!
