David Hoflin has been cast as a series regular in NBC's brand new pirate drama "Crossbones".

The Australian actor is cast to play notorious British pirate Charles Vane.

Crossbones is set in 1715, on the Bahamian island of New Providence (the first functioning democracy in the Americas), where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, a.k.a. Blackbeard (John Malkovich), reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors.

"Crossbones" will air next year on NBC.

Congrats, David!
