Australian actor Callan McAuliffe to star in
Aussie Callan McAuliffe is set to star in Dolce Films' "Skateboarding with Saddam".

Inspired by real life events, "Skateboarding with Saddam" is a coming of age story that centres around Daniel, a Los Angeles high school grad, who returns to his birth country of Israel to visit friends and relatives. Happy and feeling at home, his life is suddenly in danger after Saddam Hussein invades Kuwait and Israel is suddenly under threat.

Written and directed by Daniel Lir and Bayou Bennett, and produced by Sandy Hockenbery and Dough Claybourne, production is expected to kick off in Spring in Israel and Los Angeles.

One of Australia's busiest exports, Callan recently signed on to star in Akan Satayev's indie film "Hacker," which will shoot in Toronto, NYC, Dubai and Thailand.

Congrats, Callan!
