Claire van der Boom shooting "Life Itself" in NYC

Wednesday, October 09, 2013 12:48 PM | Anonymous

Shooting has begun in New York on "Life Itself" starring Aussie Claire van der Boom, Diane Keaton and Morgan Freeman.

Claire plays the young version of Diane Keaton's character in the film. According to IF, British director Richard Loncraine was impressed with van der Boom's audition, saying she was the only one who didn't try to impersonate Keaton as Annie Hall in the classic Woody Allen movie.

Based on Jill Ciment's novel Heroic Measure, "Life Itself" tells the story of Alex and Ruth, a long-time married couple who've spent their lives together in the same New York apartment, but become overwhelmed by personal and real estate-related issues when they plan to move away.

van der Boom plays the young Ruth who meets Alex, an artist, when she models for his paintings.

Congrats, Claire!
