Baz Luhrmann & NIDA Launch Filmmaker Competition

Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) have launched a special competition offering Australian filmmakers the chance to create a short film, with the help and guidance of Baz Luhrmann, that will premiere at the Sydney Opera House in October.

Launched by technology company Samsung, the competition is called "The Shoot" and is open to Australian residents aged between 17 and 24. 

Luhrmann invites aspiring directors, actors, designers, cinematographers and all young Australians with creative visions to enter.
