BREAKING: Entertainment One has settled on a new release date for "Diana
"- the Princess Diana biopic starring Australian Naomi Watts. The film will now be released 1 November, 2013.
"Diana" will have a limited nationwide release, before expanding to other theatres in the subsequent weeks.
Directed by Olivier Hirschbiegel, the film tells the story of the Princess' love affair with Dr. Hasnat Khan, a British Pakistani heart and lung surgeon.
Naveen Andrews from ABC's hit show "Lost" plays Khan.
In an interview with Hello Magazine
back in May, Watts said that it was both scary and an honor to play The People's Princess.
"It is such an honour to be able to play this iconic role."
"It was very scary going into it. It was interesting getting to know her as I did all the research.
She is a fascinating woman who led an extraordinary but short life. The most fun part of it is the research. It was daunting because everyone feels they know her so well so you want to get it perfect. It’s not an impression, it’s an interpretation."
