Aussie production outfit Jungleboys sell "A Moody Christmas" remake to CBS

Thursday, August 22, 2013 5:39 PM | Anonymous

Aussies Trent O'Donnell, Phil Lloyd and Jason Burrows from the Australian production company Jungleboys have sold their hit Australian show "A Moody Christmas" to US network CBS.

O'Donnell and Lloyd are heavily involved in the US remake, which will air on Fox - they will remain as executive producers, have written the script, and O'Donnell is set to direct.

Consisting of six episodes, season 1 of "A Moody Christmas" aired in 2012 on ABC1.

Shot in Sydney, each half hour episode is set a year apart, and follows the story of Dan Moody, a man who returns each year to spend time with his dysfunctional family.

Filming on season two of the Australian series is scheduled to begin in Sydney next week.

Congrats, Jungleboys!
