Liam Hemsworth joins Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich & Billy Bob Thornton on set of Cut Bank

Thursday, June 20, 2013 12:16 PM | Anonymous

Congratulations to Liam Hemsworth who has joined fellow Aussie Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich and Billy Bob Thornton on the set of "Cut Bank".

Hemsworth has been brought in to replace Armie Hammer (The Social Network), who was originally cast as the lead.

Directed by Matt Shakman, "Cut Bank" is a thriller that follows the life of 25-year-old Dwayne McLaren (Hemsworth), an antlete-turned-mechanic whose  dreams of getting out of Cut Bank, Montana, the coldest town in America, set in motion a deadly series of events that change his life and the character of the town forever.

"Cut Bank" will see Palmer and Hemsworth reunited on screen, having starred together in Danny Mooney's Vietnam war romantic drama "Love and Honor" earlier this year.

A seasoned television director, "Cut Bank" will be the feature film directorial debut for Shakman. From comedy to drama, Shakman's work can be seen in episodes of Everybody Hates Chris, Brothers and Sisters, Weeds, Chuck, House M.D, Mad Men, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Good Wife and Psych, to name a few.

Written by Roberto Patino, production started last week in Edmonton, Canada.

Congrats Teresa and Liam!
