British Film Institute to host "Australia: Shifting Sands" indigenous film program

The British Film Institute is set to host "Australia: Shifting Sands" next month, an exploration of Indigenous Australia through Indigenous filmmaking.


The program seeks to promote the the most recent changes in Australian cinema, specifically the rise in Aboriginal story telling through film. 


The program will screen Wayne Blair's hit "The Sapphires", Baz Lurhman's epic "Australia", Phillip Noyce's "Rabbit-Proof Fence," Rolf de Heer's "Ten Canoes" and "Satellite Boy" starring starring David Gulpilil and newcomer Cameron Wallaby.
