AiF Presents: Diversity Discourse Sessions

Q&A with Tiffany Smith-Anoa'i

Moderated by Kristian "Krit" Schmidt

Join us for an intimate chat with a range of industry professionals who can speak to the importance and challenges of diversity in Hollywood.

While the industry hits new milestones in progression everyday, it still has a long way to go when it comes to ignorance, education and power.   Each session features a special guest working in the writing, acting, development or representation fields, offering insight through their backgrounds and experiences.  Each speaker will address a specific focus on a different equity issue such as racism, gender equality, homophobia/transphobia and intersectionality.

TIFFANY SMITH-ANOA'I, Executive Vice President, Entertainment Diversity, Inclusion & Communication, CBS Entertainment

Tiffany Smith-Anoa'i was named Executive Vice President, Entertainment Diversity, Inclusion & Communications, CBS Entertainment in February 2016. In this position, Smith-Anoa'i oversees the entertainment division's diversity & inclusion initiatives and develops new programs that recruit, nurture and hire inclusive talent to work in front of and behind the camera. In addition, she serves as the entertainment liaison to multi-cultural coalitions and provides outreach to agencies, guilds and other industry organizations.

Join us for a discussion about casting, use of social media, intersectionality and networking.

Moderator: Kristian "Krit" Schmidt

With arguably the best head of hair in the business, New Zealand born Kristian 'Krit' Schmidt broke into the scene as a VJ for MTV Australia and New Zealand after coming out on top in a nationwide search in 2014.

Earning a Master's degree in Education, a conjoint degree in Law and Arts and being a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright scholarship, it's not just street smarts that the quick-witted 32-year-old brings to his new life as an actor and entertainer in LA.
